Discover how energy efficient your home is with our informational thermal imaging photography and video home isnpection service. Identify where energy is escaping from your home to improve efficiency and reduce your energy costs.
Identifying and fixing areas of heat loss ensures a more consistent indoor temperature, eliminating cold drafts and uneven heating. This results in a more comfortable living environment throughout the home, especially during extreme weather conditions caused by damaged, missing or insufficient insulation or heat escape around doors and window frames.
Our thermal imaging technology detects areas where your home is losing heat, such as through poorly insulated walls, roofs, and windows. By addressing these issues, you can significantly reduce energy waste, ensuring that your home remains warm in the winter and cool in the summer without excessive energy use.
By pinpointing areas of heat loss, homeowners are able to assess the thermal images and decide if they wish to employee a qualified trades person to take corrective action, such as adding insulation or sealing leaks, homeowners can decrease the amount of energy needed to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, which directly translates to lower energy bills in the future.
At Thermal Image Solutions, we offer comprehensive external and internal thermal inspections to help you uncover hidden areas of heat loss in your home. Our cutting-edge technology captures detailed photos and video footage, providing you with clear, visual insights into your home’s energy performance. Whilst we do not provide written reports, our services are designed to provide you with a visual reference and equip you with the valuable information you need to make informed decisions about your home’s efficiency and take action accordingly.
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed from one form to another. This means the total amount of energy in a closed system always stays the same. For example, when you burn wood, the energy stored in the wood is transformed into heat and light.
We use the most current thermal imaging technology in a handy compact mobile device in order to capture the most highly detailed and accurate thermal photographs and video footage. This equipment supports automatic temperature tracking, including high and low and center point temperature tracking with a temperature tolerance of just 2%. This allows us to accurately identify areas heat loss not visible to the naked eye.
Resolution
The camera supports a 256x192 high resolution infrared sensor for highly detailed images.
Frame Rate
Supports a screen refresh rate of 25Hz which allows for smooth footage without any lag
Temperature Measurement
Our camera supports a wide temperature measurement range from -15C -600C.
Temperature Accuracy
Measuring highest, lowest and central point within a +2C or 2% accuracy tolerance.
This is what a thermal image home inspection can provide. The normal looking images are what is seen by the naked eye. The coloured images are taken by the thermal camera. As you can see the picture in picture (PIP) thermal images reveal potential water moisture/damp and heat loss. This would have been impossible to pinpoint without the use of the thermal camera. Should we find such thermal anomalies during an inspection we will investigate further using a moisture meter.
In any energy transfer or transformation, some energy will always be lost as heat, which means the system becomes more disordered over time. This law introduces the idea of entropy, which is a measure of disorder. Over time, energy spreads out and becomes less organized.
